Ah the Leech Husks. It came as a pleasing surprise for the minorities—at least at first—when the king of Pitchborough himself, the illustrious Balthazar Morris, initiated a campaign promising a revolutionary take on the familiar leech treatment for the myriad diseases plaguing them. And in a way, the people were indeed right, they were in for quite a surprise, but one far darker; one by one, each swamp village succumbed to the ongoing "Leechpox Treatment." Unwittingly infected with the Leechpox under the guise of medical aid, the people were transformed into corpulent husks of their former selves. These morbid, rotting roaming corpses, machinery puppets of steel and flesh, their bodies writhing with controlling leeches and bound to eternal, unquestioned servitude, in the name of industrial revolution and unbound scientific progress. Their muscles twitch with violent spasms, their voices—poor imitations emitted by replaced vocal cords now tendrils—obey a unified hive mind under Morris' secret command: “A husk must heed their creator's commands; A husk may not inflict harm upon their creator; A husk is to protect and serve the creator… The creator is Balthazar Morris.”
