Fasa Corporation

FASA Corporation was an American publisher company that specialized in wargaming and roleplaying games. Founded in 1980 by Jordan Weisman and L. Ross Babcock III, FASA quickly became a major player in the gaming industry.

One of FASA's most popular games was BattleTech, a science fiction wargame set in a future where giant robots called BattleMechs were used for combat. Players would customize their own BattleMechs and engage in tactical battles against other players. The game was so popular that it spawned numerous sequels, spin-offs, and adaptations, including a series of novels and a video game.

Another popular game from FASA was Shadowrun, a cyberpunk roleplaying game set in a dystopian future where magic and technology coexist. Players would create characters with unique abilities and skills, and then embark on missions and adventures in a world filled with corporate espionage, gang warfare, and supernatural threats.

FASA also produced a line of miniatures for use in their games, including BattleTech Mechs and Shadowrun characters. These miniatures were highly detailed and collectible, and became popular among hobbyists and gamers alike.

Sadly, FASA Corporation went bankrupt in 2001 and its assets were sold off to other companies. However, its legacy lives on through the continued popularity of its games and miniatures, which have inspired countless players and creators over the years.
