Stalker Stk-Wu - War Emu For Battletech

Where the clang of metal giants shapes the destiny of worlds, the Stalker STK-WU "War Emu" emerged as an unexpected legend. Its genesis was not in the grand design labs of major houses, but in the resourceful hands of a band of mercenaries who understood that survival often hinges on adaptability and cunning. Drawing inspiration from the resilient and formidable nature of its namesake, the War Emu was a testament to the ingenuity of those who operate in the shadow of the great powers.

The War Emu's arsenal was a calculated array of firepower, centered around the relentless punch of Autocannon/5s mounted on both arms and torsos, making it a formidable adversary at medium ranges. Its ability to lay down a sustained barrage while maintaining a steady advance or retreat gave it a tactical flexibility uncommon among heavier mechs. Supplementing its main armament, Medium Lasers provided the War Emu with the versatility to engage threats at closer ranges, ensuring no enemy could find comfort within its reach.

At the heart of this mechanical avian was a Light Engine 285, bolstered by Double Heat Sinks, a setup that struck a delicate balance between power and protection. This engine choice reflected the War Emu's strategic philosophy: mobility and endurance over sheer brute force, enabling it to outmaneuver opponents and sustain its combat effectiveness even in prolonged engagements.

The STK-WU "War Emu" didn't just embody the physical characteristics of its namesake but also its spirit. Like the emu, known for its surprising speed and robustness, the War Emu mech became known for its resilience and unexpected agility on the battlefield. Pilots of the War Emu earned a reputation for being as tenacious and adaptable as the mech itself, often turning the tide of battle under circumstances that would spell doom for lesser machines. In the annals of mech warfare, the War Emu stands as a symbol of how innovation, courage, and a touch of audacity can carve a legacy out of the unforgiving fabric of war.

==========

I'm just a humble doodler that occasionally makes cool stuff, and makes other cool stuff look just a little bit better.

These Battletech models are based heavily on the Mechwarrior Online mechs. However, the vast majority of ripped files from MWO are not optimal for printing, and while many other modelers are content with stitching these files together to make something workable, I decided to take it a step further.

Instead of just giving you a re-hashed MWO file, I created an entirely new model that is optimized for printing at Battletech Scale. Parts are thicker, manifolds are closed, and there is only a single shell.

These mechs that I'm posting have been tested thoroughly, but  there may be some minor issues.

On the flip side, if you like a little bit of adventure, the beta files are available for free to the public on my Patreon.

Enjoy!
