Description: The Devouring Tree with a Fatal texture - featuring plenty of flat spaces for figures to battle on. Enjoy ground to air combat, tree to tree movement/battle, or indirect cover. Paints fast and easy with deep-relieve detailing that loves ink washes and lives for highlighting (Bob Ross, wherever you are buddy, this one’s for you).
The Fatal skinned models from this set feature thorny crusher vines and shattered bark with missing patches.
What's so cool about it: This tree pairs perfectly with The Lurking Tree, which is practically identical except with closed eyes and mouth (that you can paint to make it look like a hidden face in the twisted bark of an old tree.) Place the Lurking Tree on the game table, plant a treasure or mission objective marker next to it, and then swap the Lurking Tree for the Devouring Tree when the players get too close!
If you want it to be able to attack and stab things, our Root Spike and Crusher Roots will MORE than get the job done. Your players will GASP when one of these comes alive and the roots erupt from the ground all around them. A true Forest Kraken is what is possible with the Devouring Tree. The more of these you print up, the bigger and better your tabletop playscape becomes!
What it does on a battlefield: Let’s be honest, when you set up a forest battle for your players you really want them to be able to use the trees as more than mere line-of-sight blocking. You want players and enemies to be able to climb them, fire sniper shots from the branches, hide from view, leap from tree to tree to stay above the fray or volley deadly magic spells and ranged weapons. That’s why we made these for you. And then we went the extra step of making sure the platforms are roomy for your figures and scaled to epic, fantasy height. We had SO much fun making these.
