The Union knew that the enemy would arrive one day and the five kings signed a secret pact of mutual aid. Wherever the attack might go, each kingdom would send its army to fight the infernal invasion. The goal was to attack with full force to demoralize the enemy and drive them back into the depths of the earth before they even felt comfortable in the sunlight.
The enemy attacked us. The dwarves of Skaldarg sent all their forces and thanks to them we still endure in Soren. From the East only came the soldiers that King Valreno had left over and the cursed Ullthor nor ravens has sent. That illegitimate king has never had honor.
Every day legions of men fell and hordes of enemies arose. Rumors of new cities under attack spread among the weary warriors and the lack of new troops does not predict anything good. Fear begins to fall like an icy cloak.
At the end of the day the damn Brako and his men fiercely resisted the advance until there were no monsters left to kill. When the last beast remained, it did not back down and attacked even more forcefully. I have a bad feeling.
The dwarves sent good news, the city is free and they will leave for the border.

After two days of fighting, Brako became legend; within the walls of Soren the earth parted and the tall tower of the White Eagle fell in minutes. The dwarves never made it to the border and there was no further news of them. The enemy was only testing our forces. The earth boiled.
We believed that with our strength we could resist the prophecy, but the fall always was imminent. Now the only hope is that "they" return.
