The statue depicts Lord Rama as a child. He is the central figure in the ancient Indian epic Ramayana, in a regal pose that is both divine and serene. In his left hand, he holds a bow, and in his right, a golden arrow, symbols of his readiness to defend dharma. His hair is delicately tied up in a bun, adorned with flowers, reflecting the customary styling for royalty during his era. The rich adornment with jewelry emphasizes his status as the Prince of Ayodhya, showcasing the luxurious artistry typical of royal depictions in Hindu art.

One of the most striking features of this sculpture is the keerthimukatam, an ornamental arch that frames Lord Rama, adding an element of grandeur and sanctity. Standing on a lotus pedestal, a symbol of purity and divine birth in Hindu iconography, the figure radiates a sense of calm and steadfastness.

This is a remarkable sculpture of Lord Rama as a child or Ram Lalla is consecrated in the Ayodhya Ram Temple. The statue is  masterfully carved from a rare type of granite estimated to be around 2.5 billion years old. This granite was sourced from Jayapura Hobli in Mysuru district, a region in India renowned for its high-quality granite mines. The statue stands at an impressive height of 51 inches and is the creation of sculptor Arun Yogiraj.

This sculpt is not intended to be an exact copy of the original sculpture. There are subtle and not so subtle changes. The STL will continue to be refined to improve printability without compromising (too much) on details. The v1 will be delivered as a whole STL and in parts. This will help print larger sizes and minimise supports. Hope you like this sculpt, please do reach out with your feedback so we can improve upon the model.
