6mm Late 17Thcentury Infantry “Firing”

The infantry battle line with pikes typically adopted a combined arms formation, with musketeers and pikemen integrated into the same line. The musketeers would be positioned behind or between the pikemen to provide covering fire while the pikemen formed the front ranks. Musketeers, armed with muskets, provided long-range firepower to the formation. They were responsible for delivering volleys of musket fire to weaken the enemy's approach before they closed in for melee combat.
