“The Orcs!” is a set of 24 highly detailed retro inspired 28mm/32mm scale support-free 3D printable miniatures. These miniatures are optimized to be printed without the use of slicer supports on FDM or SLA/DLP style home printers.
3D Printable STL Files - FDM or SLA/ DLP
Our goal with this range was to create beautiful highly detailed figures that would be very easy to 3D print on your home printer for even a beginner hobbyist. Because the miniatures do not require the use of supports they are very easy to print and need little to no clean-up.
Each figure takes around 3 - 4 hours to print, on an FDM printer, depending on your machine and slicer settings. We test-printed all our figures on a stock older model $200 USD Ender 3 using Esun PLA+. SLA/DLP printers will vary time-wise as it depends on the many factors including if you choose a thinner layer height.
Most home 3D printers will be able to get similar or even better results. The main thing we wanted to show is that you can get very high quality results with even an inexpensive machine.
Pre-Supported Option for SLA/DLP
The models are designed to 3D print without the use of slicer supports even on resin based printers. However, to ensure peace of mind for those wishing to print resin versions of the figures, we are also offering pre-supported versions of the files.
To clarify: supports are not needed when printing on a resin printer if the model is oriented in the upright position (standing). This has been tested repeatedly on several models we have created in the past. However, we have added a pre-supported option for more accuracy.
These miniatures are very easy to print and the ability to 3D print an army in this way is fun and affordable. Each figurine costs just a few pennies in material to print, when using an FDM printer, so you can make an army as large as you want!
