Although during the period in which the game Thalassa: Naval Battles on the Ancient Seas is inspired the Triremes were manned by a very standard crew combination of a handful of hoplites, a bunch of archers and around 170 armed oarsmen, in the game, players can chose the configuration of their three crew stand slots according to their fleet selector list. Replacing one to three of the armed oarsment crew-stands for hoplites, toxotai, epibatai or one of many engines of war.
Your choice will definitely have an impact on the way you must run your fleet and the tactics your enemy will be forced to use.
Designed by Dankaiminiatures, this set of Sailors is composed of two strips of different miniatures representing the crew alongside the corresponding decking base to fit them in your games of Thalassa. We recommend to print the strips as they are supplied for easy to paint and easy to handle and then glue them on their corresponding base stand.
